County Attorney

Clear Creek County Attorney

The Office of County Attorney was created by the State Constitution in Article XIV, Section 8 and Colorado Revised Statutes, Section 30-11-118.

The County Attorney's Office represents, and provides legal advice to, the Board of County Commissioners, the other County elected officials, the County Manager, department and division heads, and appointed commissions, boards, and committees.

We cannot provide legal representation to County residents or property owners, as this has the potential of creating a conflict of interest. When possible, the office will answer general questions regarding the powers of a County or the meaning of county regulations.
