Starting on January 3, 2023, Clear Creek County began it's trial of a four-day work week for administrative, planning, and other non-emergency walk-in services. The Board of County Commissioners approved of adopting the trial period of a four-day work week at their meeting on October 18th.

The County and all county buildings (except the Health and Wellness Center) are now be open to the public from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m Monday through Thursday. This gives residents an extra two hours a day to visit county buildings and get the services they need. Residents can also always visit Clear Creek County’s website for an array of services offered online.

Not all County offices will be impacted by the switch to a four-day business week. The Sheriff's Office, Emergency Medical Services, Transit, the Transfer Station, and Public Health will continue to operate as usual. Public Works will continue plowing and maintaining roads as usual, but the division's office hours will be Monday-Thursday along with the rest of the County.

The trial period for the new hours will take place from January 3, 2023 through May 12, 2023. After that, the County and the Board of County Commissioners will reconvene to discuss if this will be a permanent change that the County will adopt moving forward.  We will also be requesting feedback from the public during this time. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Clear Creek County's Public Information Officer, Megan Hiler, at mhiler@clearcreekcounty.us.
